There's a protest this Friday and Saturday and a mass squat type thing people can go to and do artwork/get cash for stories and stuff. Think theres also a march leaving Cathederal Gardens at 2 and a rave at night but you have to phone the number to find out more. I can't go though, at the Prodigy Tribute thing.
I'll try find the leaflet when i get home and get more details up. in case anyone else fancies it. |

We are having a similar thing down this way for the days of action.
Bristol is targeting the unwanted gentrification of the Stokes Croft cultural quarter and surrounding areas. We are having two processions from different parts of town meeting at a central park then off to take over a building fpr art and music that has been a squat and rave centre for a while now that is set to be made in to yet more yuppie pads. Indy Media Article The International Page Everywhere you look in briz now there are more luxury apartments being built and us, the people who make Bristol diverse and vibrant and being pushed out. There are even plans to develop the large park by the canal in to more flats, we wont stand for it. -------------------- "We are your friends, You'll never be alone again."

That's happening to the River Irwell in Manchester in the next year or two, already lots of trees been cut down and a bigger police presense down there
This one was about pretty much same thing, atonomous (however you spell it) spaces and against development |

The day was brilliant I couldn't get to the protest coz I was at the social centre serving breakfast but the party was great.
The entire bristol anarchist community turned up and then some, easily 700 people in this squat, an abandoned restaurant and theatre. The police came rouind but just monitored from outside. There were litle kids there, art, t-shirt printing, free haircuts, top bands. I even got up to no good with a girl in the projector room, bonus -------------------- "We are your friends, You'll never be alone again."
